I wore this at 3 months pregnant and it was perfect for my small bump. Got tons of compliments and felt comfortable and elegant. Looked great with dress blues. 

Everyone complimented on the dress - saying it was one of their favorites. It fit true to size and came on time. Everything was perfect.

This was such a comfortable dress, black for a formal wedding, but not boring at all. Love how it shimmered, would definitely recommend. It is heavy, but a comfortable heavy. 


It fit to size, but the dress was really heavy.  As the night wore on, it started to feel like it was dragging me down, BUT it looked great.  I wouldn't let that deter me from renting again.  Also, the sparkles sort of itched under the armpits, but that is minimal.

Once I got it zipped it felt great. Dress runs small in the rib cage, so I had to go up a size. Going up a size made my bust disappear a little bit. Great dress and would recommend if a formal black dress is needed. 

It fit perfectly! I wasn't concerned about a slip on top. The only thing is I'm 5'2 and even with 5 inch heels the dress was dragging. Had to tie a hair tie around the bottom to dance without falling. 

This dress was actually a back-up dress.  RTR did a fabulous job with customer service, and I am so glad that I ended up with this dress!  The dress is very heavy and I felt that the bust area was tight.  I had to wear a NuBra and that helped, but I still felt like my boobs were being smothered a bit.  All in all, I felt beautiful!  The length was just right with a pair of two inch heels.

Wore this dress to a formal Oscar Night. The dress definitely runs small in the chest area, but it was beautiful and I received countless compliments! The black sequins catch the light and have a great understated GLAM look! I would recommend this dress to anyone for a formal evening out.

Small to size. I normally wear a 2 p but that was way too small. Glad I asked for the 4p. It was comfortable and a little hard to zip up but hubby got it! First time using rent the runway. Love it !

So let me preface with, when I wore this dress last week I was about 3 months pregnant. That being said, while I was still pretty flat in the stomach area, my boobs were HUGE! They are the reason I had to wear the 6R instead of the 4R which fit fine everywhere else. I did not have to wear a bra, one bc it would not fit in the dress and two-usually do not have to. Also good to know- I usually rent the long length, but it wasn't available for the dates I needed, so I settled for the regular length. In this particular dress, regular was perfect with 4 inch heels, barely skimmed the ground. It is fitted around the rib cage and under the breasts, but not uncomfortable, and if I had a small baby bump, it would have been well hidden with the way the dress flowed. Did not have to pull up at the top either, which sometimes happens with strapless dresses. Over all, a real winner, received a ton of compliments. and would totally rent it again! Perfect for an early pregnant girl. 

I was worried about the length and based on other reviews opted for the petite. Very glad I did. It was a perfect fit and the length did not drag. I brought several different height shoes just in case I needed to add a few inches! The dress is quite heavy so if you have a smaller chest like me then make sure you wear a sturdy strapless. No one likes having to tug their dress up every five minutes ; ) Overall, I would highly recommend this dress! 

Don't let the funny face I'm making on the right deter you, this dress was PERFECT for the wedding I attended in late August. I have a very large bust (36 DD) so if you have a large bust you NEED to size up. I usually wear a 12 but had to wear a 16 because I couldn't get the zipper closed in anything smaller. I rented the long and wore with flats (it was a long wedding day affair) and the length was perfect for a 5'11'' frame. The weight of the dress is heavier than expected, but not uncomfortable. I wore this dress for about 13 hours (like a said.... a loooong wedding day affair) and I was completely comfortable and felt glam the entire day. 

This dress was a back up for the event I was going to and I didn't end up wearing it because it wasn't the fashion direction I wanted to go in. However, it is a very nice, classically elegant dress. It has simple elegance and a shape that would look flattering on almost anyone. The zipper is a bit hard to get up because of the dress material but other than that it was a great dress. With 4 inch heels (I'm 5'4''), the dress barely brushed the ground. 

Beautiful gown! Ended up going with the 8R over the 6T because of my broad broad athletic back. Tough to find gowns that have a bit of stretch to accommodate my broad back. This gown was long on me (5,3; 3 inch heels) and the bottom of the gown is A LOT of gown. It lays flat while walking but once you sit it's A LOT of gown. So much fabric on the bottom ye be warned. It's a lot to hold up considering it was long to begin with. This gown was beautiful for the occasion and not as shiny as the photo depicts. The sequins were not too much and for a military event, I was worried about that. Gorgeous dress that wasn't overpowering standing next to my husband for his military ball.

I rented this dress last minute for a black tie gala in Florida.  It was perfect!  The pictures online do not do this dress justice!  It arrived a day early than expected and looked great.  The dress is a little heavy, but that did not bother me.  The sequins looked beautiful and made it look more elegant.  It was a little long for me even with my heels on, but only like an inch.  I feel the petite would have been too short for my height and heels.  The dress was conformable and had no issues!  I cannot wait to rent another dress for an event! 

Dress seemed a tiny bit long (I am 5'3" and was wearing 4" heels) but totally manageable once I was actually out in it. Comfortable, easy to sit and to dance in and didn't have to worry about losing the top. A couple of the bones in the corset seemed to be coming loose when I unpacked the dress, but again that wasn't really a problem once I was wearing it. So happy that I rented this dress and sad to have it send it back.

The dress fit overall very well. The chest is very tight and I almost went a size up because of it. The zipper is also hard to zip, even if the dress is off. The dress is also covered in sequins, but surprisingly doesn't looked tacky! I loved it & had a great experience with RTR!

I wore the dress to a Gatsby themed ball so I went for more dramatic accessories than the dress really needed. It would have been better with just a statement earring and no necklace. The 4 was a bit tight in the bust and showed more cleavage than I wanted but the 6 was too big and constantly slipped. The long was perfect with 3" heels, just grazing the floor. The zipper was very stubborn on the 4L, more so than the 6L. The dress was much lighter than I expected. There were 3 girls wearing the same style gown at the ball, 2 in the green chiffon, 1 in the red chiffon. While they looked beautiful, the dresses seemed boring in comparison. The sequins were not too flashy but just enough understated glam to catch the eye while remaining classy.

I went to the Rent the Runway showroom in NYC Flatiron during Christmas break to try on dresses for NYE in Chicago. I received great service at the showroom. This dress was my 2nd choice, I tried both colors, black and gold. The size 14R was tight at the bust when zipped, so I chose the size 16R as my back up option for New Year's eve. Overall, it's a beautiful dress, camouflages the stomach area well and I will keep it in mind for a future event.

I ordered this dress for a Mardi Gras ball. When I placed the order I was under the impression that the dress was black with some sort of silver overlay. When I got it, I realized it was all sequin. I was fine with that but was just a little surprised. Overall, I liked this dress and was surprised about the weight of it. It was lighter than I expected. The zipper however, was a total pain. My boyfriend almost couldn't get it up which caused me to panic. After wrestling with it for ten minutes or so, he was able to get it up. 

This dress is the perfect amount of fancy!  It's not too in your face with all the sequins, just the right amount of shimmer to catch people's eye.  I'm 5' 4"/130lbs and I'm usually a RTR 4/4L but I'm glad I went with the 4P on this dress.  When wearing strapless, I always feel more comfortable with a tighter fit up top so I know it's not going to slip down as the night wears on.  It has a built-in corset/bra so no need to worry there. My date was not very tall, so I wore flats.  If you're looking to wear heels I suggest going for the long.  This dress made me fell fun and elegant all at the same time!  Perfect party dress!

It was an absolutely stunning dress in person. No picture can do it justice. My only complaint is that the zipper was a little tricky initially. I needed my mom's help to zip it up, but after zipping up and down on my body a few times by the day of the dance it was no problem at all! I received tons of compliments and would definitely rent it again!

The top fit extremely tight and it squeezed me greatly. Also the zipper would get stuck at a certain spot every time. Overall I liked the dress ok enough, I received a lot of compliments. Easy to move in, very classy and elegant. #TauBall #ClassybutSassy

I Wore it for a Mardi Gras Ball I loved it! It was perfect for the occasion. After reading the reviews I went with the long, but it was a little too long. The chest was too small but I wore it anyway. With the black, you could not tell. 

The dress was heavy and since it was strapless, I was nervous of it falling.  I pinned it to my strapless bra and used fashion tape and it worked out well.  

This was my first dress I rented from Rent The Runway and it was incredible! This dress fit slightly big so I chose the petite sizing. I am 5'3" with a small bust and I couldn't be happier with the fit. I did wear about a 2" heel so the dress hit just above the floor. This dress is pretty heavy with it being an sequins but overall experience was great and I have never received so many compliments on a dress! 

Runs VERY small in chest area. I am a 34D and felt too voluptuous  but still wore it anyway. Lots of compliments. It's pretty long too. 

This dress has a very old school Hollywood glamour appeal to it. It was absolutely perfect for the military ball. The liquid sequence make the dress feel chic without being too over the top for the occasion. The dress does run on the long side, so I wish I would have ordered a Regular instead of the Long version. Overall it was perfect and I will definitely be ordering from RTR again!

I went with the 0 because I was worried I would dance the 2 off or step on the dress and pull it off! The 0 was a bit tight but I didn't budge all night! 
Loved it. Really long though, even with 3 inch heels (I'm 5'2"), tripped a couple times but it was worth it!

I loved the dress and how it looked in person but it didn't fit true to size like I thought (no I didn't gain any weight! lol). It fit ok from the waist down but it was definitely tight on top with and without the strapless bra. The material wasn't stretchy on top either so I could barely breathe but I had no choice but to work it out for the evening. I'm 5'11" so the long was just right. I initially got the extra long but that was too much. I should have gone up a size. I did receive a lot of compliments on the dress and had a wonderful time. I would definitely rent it again but just go up a size.

This dress was stunning. I received many compliments and the length was perfect. I wore 4 inch heels and if you're around 5'7 or 5'8, the R size is perfect and won't drag on the ground. I sized up merely because the bust area is rather tight and didn't want my girls popping out. However, this dress is good for bustier women since it's tight around the bust area and with some Hollywood Fashion Tape, it stayed up. You almost could pull it off without a strapless bra but I wanted everything to stay in place! Also, the waist area is a bit bulkier and since it's not form fitting, I wouldn't recommend this gown for someone who is on the shorter side since there's a lot of extra fabric that is below the bust area and could easily make you look like you're drowning in fabric. Overall, was perfect for my event. One note: the sequins by the armpits might be a little itchy, don't be alarmed!

This dress was perfect! I felt so glamorous and comfortable the whole night.  The dress was a little heavier than I anticipated but it really wasn't that big of a deal.  I got so many compliments all night and through social media.  I would absolutely rent this dress again.  I was too short for the regular so I had to use the temporary hem tape to make it a petite length.

I wore this to my husband's Marine Corps ball. It was absolutely perfect for the occasion. I received many compliments. This dress fit true to size. I'm 5'11" and wore 3 inch heels. I had the 6XL and I probably could have got away with the 6L; the XL was a bit too long but it fine. This dress is heavier but not too heavy. It's a good quality dress. The sequins are beautiful and not cheap or overpowering. I would definitely recommend it. I felt beautiful in this dress. 

I received a of compliments for this dress, and it looked great, but I had a few problems with it. It was tight on the chest (which is not a problem I usually face), and the ribbing kept poking me at the top of the dress (see picture). These created a weird shadow in pictures. It was a heavy dress. 

If you are a busty woman like me, this dress runs small! I am usually a 10-12 and I had to send both those sizes back and get a 14. This dress is really long too so unless your 6" I wouldn't think you would need the long. But RTR was so awesome about overnighting me the right size! I couldn't believe it was on my doorstep the next morning! It was like Christmas! I love RTR and will definitely be using them again and telling the world about them!

Very classy and easy to move around in.  

It was a great but very close fit. Hard to zip up but looked great on. I wore this for my prom and felt beautiful! I recommend ordering it 2 days before your occasion because mine didn't come until night time the day before my event. #gatsby #prom

Really good dress for busty women! I searched forever for a dress to fit up top and this was perfect. I'm 5'2" and wore this dress with 4 inch heels and it was the perfect length. It is a bit heavy and the sequins scratched my arms when I danced, but not enough to really bother me.
