This was my FAVORITE rental yet! I did not want to return this dress and I am still heartbroken that I do not own it. It does run small, so I would suggest having your backup size be a size up. Pictures do not do this dress justice, it shimmers in the sun and is absolutely gorgeous. Received compliments all night and it was super fun to dance in. Even though it was a bit tight on my ribcage, it was comfortable and I did not have to wear a bra.

Ya'll, do yourselves a favor and RENT THIS DRESS! This is one of the most beautiful, flattering, and comfortable dresses I've ever worn, and I received dozens of compliments throughout the night. The color, cut and fit are stunning. The only downside is that you'll need someone to help you zip it up. I used spanks to trim the waistline a bit, and a strapless bra to hold the girls up, and it looked ah-mah-zing. I simply cannot wait to wear this again!

Loved this dress. It photographed so beautiful. It fit like a glove. I'm usually a 0 and went with the 2. I never wanted to take this one off! 

This dress was amazing!!! So cute and I felt awesome in it! However if you have a larger chest it's a little tight so maybe go a size up. 

Loved this dress for a new mexico wedding. Glad I sized up because it was tight, but fun to dance in. Sadly, someone at the wedding was in the same dress, but we both looked great.

The fit was still a bit tight in the corset section for my postpartum bod.  It did lift and hide in all the right places though.  I wore 4" heels and am 5'2" but the train was still long so either I would step on it or someone else was stepping on it.  I did receive a lot of complements on the dress and was otherwise comfortable all evening.  

Loved this dress - unique, comfortable and super feminine! Size up because the waste is a little tight without any stretch -- will def be renting again! 

This dress is much brighter than it appears in the photo and the silver threading was a nice touch. The waist and below fit well, however as others have mentioned the bust is extremely tight. I was able to zip it over a bra with zero padding, but it was so tight it almost felt like a sports bra. I also felt like the sweetheart neckline should have come up a half inch higher or so because it wasn't quite enough fabric.

BCBG seems to design dresses for with women with model bodies and no curves, and this dress was no exception. Overall it was very pretty but I wouldn't rent it again.

This dress fit me like a glove. I have never been happier with a RTR dress or even any dress in general. The pattern is unforgettable and the top of the dress is absolutely stunning and so different. I paired the dress with silver heels because it was a summer wedding. The dress is definitely more of a royal blue color than purple. I think the coloring in the picture is a bit deceiving. The silver shimmer in the pattern glams it up and makes it fancy enough for a wedding. Definitely recommend renting this one!

I loved wearing this dress! It was so fun and unique.  I loved the side strap, and really was quite comfortable to wear.  The only reason I took away one star was for the fit.  I'm glad I ordered a backup size - 2R, because the bust area is the 4R was either stretched out or was just faulty in the dress (as I've read other reviewers complain about this, so luckily I was not too surprised when I received the dress) - because the top portion of the bust area would flip over inside out!  The size 2R did this too, but not nearly as bad and with a little bit of fashion tape, the problem was solved.  RTR had actually included that fashion tape in my first order, but I wish that was something that was included regularly as it was very useful in this case and the only reason I happen to have it was because RTR had included it in my first (and possible second) order. 

I loved this dress so much! So comfortable and beautiful to wear. I loved that it had an adjustable strap as well. I didn't have trouble keeping the straps in place like the other reviews once I got the strap adjusted to the right size. 

This dress was beautiful, and so unique!  It definitely runs small, I thought I would be able to wear the 6 but even the 8 was tight.  I couldn't wear a bra, and my boobs were pretty smashed in there!  It was also very long, I'm 5'4" and wore 4" wedges and the back of the dress still dragged on the ground.  Other reviewers said they had problems with the straps, but they stayed perfectly in place for me and I got a ton of compliments on that piece alone.  As other reviews mentioned this dress is showing some wear and tear, specifically with the silver ribbons running through it; many are frayed.  But overall it was a great dress, very comfortable and super unique!

Prior to ordering I read the reviews and was nervous this dress would be a little small in the torso so I ordered a size up for my back up, but it fit true to size (6R). However I could see this being snug for anyone with a lager bust. It is super light material so it would be perfect for a formal summer wedding, but I wore for an indoor formal event and it worked for that as well. The silver threading is what makes it stand out. You do not really get a good idea of that from the picture, but it is pretty! I received tons of compliments. Being comfortable and fancy at the same time is always a plus! I enjoyed this dress to say the least. 

I really enjoyed wearing this dress for a fancy beach wedding.  I wore 4-inch heels and am 5'7", and the 6L just barely touched the ground in the back.  The straps were a little annoying for dancing, but the dress was worth it.

Other reviewers thought that the shoulder strap was difficult but they stayed perfectly in place for me :) The dress was unique and felt special. 

Wore this dress on my anniversary for a fancy dinner out. I was looking for something classy, and stumbled across this dress which is unlike anything I've ever rented, but it was amazing! The fabric is super light and flowy and has a silver thread throughout that gives it some extra pizazz. The feel of the dress and high-low hem made it perfect for a fancy occasion In the middle of summer. It's so elegant.

I'm 5'7" and wore the dress with 4" heels and the bottom hung a perfect 2" off the ground.

The straps can be a little awkward, but once I figured them out I didn't have to mess with them at all.

I really recommend steaming the dress before wearing, especially the straps. A little extra effort brought the dress to life.

This dress was absolutely ideal for my sisters funky urban Brooklyn wedding. The fabric is BEAUTIFUL in person and the model photo doesn't even come close to doing it justice. The sizing of this dress may definitely be a challenge for some. I'm a very athletic/muscular, but lean at 135lbs and 5'3". Both the 4 and the 6 fit me. Definitely more room to breathe in the 6, but the straps didn't stay up at all. The 4 was a bit snug, and the waist looked just ever so slightly tight (but not like I was squeezing into it). I ended up wearing the 4 because it looked much better overall. I received tons of compliments on the dress. This was my first RTR experience, and I will be a customer for a very long time. 

While I ended up wearing the 6 instead of my normal 4, I would say the dress fits true to size. The 4 felt great but I'm large busted (30G) and was going to a professional event so I decided to wear the 6 for less cleavage. I'm giving 4 stars only because the dresses are starting to show some wear with the silver threads starting to pick and show.

The fit was snug in the torso/rib cage, but honestly I think it was a perfect snug given that it's essentially a strapless dress. It stayed in place all evening without pinching my skin. The dress has a silver strand sewn throughout, and that makes it much more glamorous in person. I went to hug the bride and wish her congratulations, and she stopped to say "Oh my god, you're dress is amazing!" It was a lightweight dress, which made it PERFECT for the humid 90 degree outdoor wedding. Would rent again!

I loved this dress on the website and I had never ordered from Rent the Runway before because dresses tend to fit me funny. I am very small on the top and wider on the bottom so I like to try things on. After reading all of the reviews and looking at the pictures it seemed like everyone liked this dress and it looked good on literally everyone so I gave it a whirl. My order actually came a day early which was great and I had read reviews saying the top ran small, but since I don't have a bust really  I wasn't too concerned. It is tight even for those without a large bust! I usually wear a size 4 and the 4 fit like a glove. It had some loose strings which I snipped, but other than that it was great. It is a really flattering dress and didn't make my wide hips look big at all! I got a lot of compliments and would definitely order from RTR again. 

The fit was perfect and the color and fabric is amazing. This dress photographs so well. It's so much prettier in person. The model pic doesn't do it justice. I seriously had compliments  all evening long. Total confidence booster after having a baby 6 months ago! 

I was SO nervous getting this dress since I didn't get the right style last rent the runway round, but I'm so happy I got the 8R - perfect fit! Just loved the fit and the up/ down hem. Waist and length could not have been more perfect. LOVE!

This dress is so pretty! There are cons-the waistband part is very small, the straps do not stay separated and while my chest felt securely in place if they were any larger they wouldn't have fit in the top. I did not need a bra. Overall this dress was good for my event, I was by the ocean and it was a little chilly so I wore a black bolero so the strap didn't even show. The waistband was tight but it was flowy  below that so it wasn't squeezing anything that shouldn't be squeezed and eating wasn't a problem because the band was around my rib cage. I probably wouldn't rent this again but it did work for what I needed it for. 

So this definitely runs tight around the rib cage, and if you have a bigger bust it causes a little bit of a squish in the armpit which wasn't super flattering. However the colors are gorgeous and the sparkle is perfect! Wore it for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Inductions and it was perfect for brushing shoulders with rock stars at the VIP events. 

The length was perfect for me, with heels on it barely skimmed the ground and I'm 5'7". The material is this gorgeous navy and royal blue print with silver threading, which I'm sure would have looked gorgeous in the sun. I could not wear the dress to the event planned, however, because I felt it was jus way too tight under my breasts, down almost to my hips. The hips are more of a "free size" and I have a small waist (relative to my hips) so I think this might just be cut on the smaller side. The other issue that bugged was I couldn't figure out how to get the straps across my shoulder just right. I thought there were only two straps, as shown, but there are actually 3! They never felt quite right and like they might fall down at any moment. I probably wouldn't rent this again, but on the right body type it would probably be amazing. This dress was absolutely beautiful! It is a little darker in person than it photographs, it comes off a little more navy blue and less purple than it looks. There is also beautiful silver sparkles throughout the dress! The dress was a little bit tight around my ribcage, but I got used to it and it didn't really bother me after about thirty minutes. Overall the dress was gorgeous, relatively comfortable, and easy to wear! I got a lot of compliments all night.

Definitely runs small - I am a B cup and have a fairly small waist, but I needed a size 10.

Super comfy. Length was great. Shoulder strap was a little loose but not terrible. The color was great for an outdoor wedding.  I ordered up a size for my backup based on reviews but I think  it was true to size and should've ordered a size down as the backup. 

Fit really well, tighter in the top. Usually a size 6 but went up in size to make sure it fit perfect! Loved how comfortable I was all night. It has a lot of sparkle in person which was perfect for optional black tie!

Fantastic dress. Selected this option after other reviews from customers. Many compliments on the color, fit and flow of the gown. The 8R did fit but I opted for the 10R to have a bit more room in the bust. Would definitely recommend for future renters!

The dress was beautiful but the fit was super tight. If your breast run large be prepared to not wear a bra and experience some difficulty getting the dress zipped. Other than that the dress was lovely. 

Liked the dress but think it looks stunning on brunettes. I wanted the other print but it was not available so I rented this one. I received lots of compliments and loved that I could wear it without a bra even with a 36DD chest. It was tight though in the ribs and chest area which made it a tiny bit uncomfortable. 

I ordered a size up based on previous reviews, I'm glad I did. This dress fit perfect. And was a lot prettier in person. It was a little long in the back, I had to wear my highest heels and it still touched the ground a little bit. Overall it was a comfortable dress and I would definitely recommend renting

Unexpected silver/sparkle in the dress and more red white and blue vs. the purple I thought it was online. See close up pic to get a good view of fabric. Beautiful dress, very flattering. Straps were a little strange, I just wore them all together like a one strap and it worked perfectly. 



I am normally somewhere between a 6 or 8 in dresses, I have a large chest (34DD) so I figured I'd be OK with the 8.. but it wouldn't quite zip up aver my chest. RTR was great and sent me a size 10 overnight. The 10 actually worked perfectly.. a little loose around the waist.. but that was great because I didn't have to worry about how many Hors d'oeuvres I ate at cocktail hour. lol. I'm pretty tall and I wore this with about 4 inch heels, the dress was a few inches off the ground.. but would probably be touching the ground on a shorter person... This dress was absolutely beautiful and everyone loved it! highly recommend.. but be weary if you have a large chest. 

Overall, the dress was beautiful! I got so many compliments all night from people saying they loved it.  Great for a formal event, and very comfortable.  It was also very nice on a hot day because it was so flowy and open.  The only downside for me was that it was very long.  I wore 5 inch heels all night and it just grazed the ground in the back.  No taking my shoes off to dance later!  It did run a bit small, as mentioned by other people, but I made sure to order a size up and it was fine (sans strapless bra).  I would totally rent this dress again if I have another formal event.

I brought this dress with me on my girls trip to Vegas! It was gorgeous and I received so many compliments. The top is tight so keep that in mind. It is so shimmery, perfect for a party!

I rented this dress to wear to my birthday dinner on a vacation to NYC. I normally wear a 2 but this was a 0 and I was able to squeeze in. The 2 would have been much better but even the smaller size looked great. Since it was so tight I was able to get get away with not wearing a bra
