The arms were extremely tight and difficult to get on, even with super skinny arms. The tule is beautiful and it flows really well, but it also bunches up at the waist and is not the most flattering for any shape. 

I am typically between a 2R and a 4R and even the 4 was tight on me, particularly in the chest and arms.  My backup size (2R) was unable to be provided, so I got to pick out a free backup dress!  Pretty awesome to get a free reception dress out of the situation!  The tulle wrinkles easily, so be prepared for it to be delivered with some wrinkles.  This dress is a little see through and mine had definitely seen some wear and tear,  but I wouldn't have traded it for anything, it is absolutely beautiful.  

I fell in love with dress online, and rented it specifically for a photo session. The bodice is intricate and quite stunning, but I felt that the tulle skirt actually looked cheap, and didn't hang well at all. I specifically packed a steamer, but you couldn't even tell I'd gone to all the effort, even with me only wearing it for about an hour. There is a single layer lining the skirt (hence why others reported needing a slip), and it was more than just piling, it was covered in dingleberries. Several smal holes and a rip in the tulle, that you probably couldn't see unless you were looking closely. But the loose strings and tears in the bodice were abundant and very noticable. I would have been embarassed if I had worn this out to an event, it was in such bad shape. My back-up dress was from this same designer, and I wore a 6 with a little room to spare. I found this 8 to be tight in the bust/ribs, which made it fit awkwardly. So I have mixed emotions on this dress. It was overall unique and mostly stunning, but skip it if you need the 8L--hopefully their other sizes are in better condition. 


PROS: I ordered this for my cousin's wedding (an Indian wedding). I paired it with a long scarf from another Indian outfit, some Indian jewelry, and it matched perfectly! I received compliments all night. I usually wear a 6, but the back where it zips up was a little snug. I'm glad I had the backup size 8. 
CONS: The material underneath the tulle is very transparent, so you have to plan on wearing a slip or spanx. 

This dress firs very true to size for my body type. 
I am 5'8 and wish a long would have been available but the R was great while I was barefoot. 
The sleeves are tight and did take some work to get them off and on other than that this dress was amazing. After being proposed in it I really didn't want to send it back. 

RTR only was able to send me the 8L when I rented both an 8L and the 6L but they were very apologetic and offered to send me another dress plus the dress runs small so I fit the 8L perfect! the dress was very flowy and made me feel wonderful! A problem would be that I for sure stepped on it a couple times making me a bit more cautious about where and how i stepped. Over all awesome dress! 

Absolutely GORGEOUS dress! My only complaint is my own fault in that I should have ordered the long dress because with my 4" heels my shoes were visible. 

I wore this dress to the 50th Petroushka ball in NYC. Felt like the belle of the ball. Definitely a great choice.

As others have reviewed, the arm holes on this dress are built for someone with a shorter torso, so you need to be very careful getting the dress on. Outside of the arms, the fit of the dress is true to size through the torso, but I noted that it "runs small" because of the arms. I also think if you had broad shoulders it would be really challenging to get this on. As there is a lot of lace and tulle on this dress, there are some nips and snags here and there, but you absolutely cannot tell when photographed. Definitely plan to wear flats if you are tall- I had the regular and needed to wear flats, I wish the tall had been available for my date!

I am a teacher and wore this for our classroom tea party. It is just divine! I had to wear 3 inch heels due to my 5'1 height, but it worked out just fine. 

Extremely classy, but I will say that virtually 100% of fathers without a wife present during car rider dismal (I directed traffic in the dress) rolled down their window and said gorgeous or beautiful.

It is a lot of material to deal with but the overall effect is worth it. It runs a bit small without a lot of give in the underdress so size up. 

The dress ran a bit on the small and short side - I usually wear a size 4, and I got the backup size 6L just in case. Thank goodness I did as the 4R was too tight around the chest and much too short for me to wear with any heel. The 6L was also a bit short with my high heels, but it was perfect for when I was wearing flats. The sleeves were also quite tight and a bit short, so I definitely recommend sizing up (or at least opting in for a large backup size just in case). Beautiful dress, though!!

Fits snug. I fit a normal size 0. Glad I got the 2. Very fairy tale like dress. Love, love, love!

Absolutely fell in love with this dress for my engagement photo shoot! I ordered two sizes of this dress and only received the smaller size since the other was previously returned damaged. The one I received was very worn and had pulls all in the lace and tulle, though you could really only tell if you were very close. There is more tulle in the front than there is in the back so in certain light, the back of this dress can be see through. I definitely recommend nude under wear! Rent the Runway was really great and sent two more dresses just in case the one I originally ordered didn't work out. Over all the dress was beautiful and took the best photos! 


Dreamy. When my mother saw me she literally gasped. Compliments all night on this dress. As for the fit,  I am 5'11" and have a rather narrow body. I can see how the empire waist on this dress could be rather  unflattering for some. Otherwise the flowiness and color and fit was just a dream. I was comfortable all night - note the pictures of me breakin' it down. Lovely, lovely gown. So grateful I got to be a princess on my wedding - affordably! Thanks Rent the Runway :)  

I rented this dress for my engagement pictures and it was absolutely gorgeous!  The lace details on the sleeves and top are perfect and delicate! The full tulle skirt was gorgeous and made me feel like a princess. I needed a 6R but they were sold out on my date so I went with the 8R. It was a little large on me but I think that means it runs true to size. This dress is great for any special occasion!

It was so beautiful. It hides any imperfections from the waist down! Runs a tad small so order your size and a size up and you'll be good to go! 

I usually wear a 2 but it was too tight to breathe or move my arms in the 2. Luckily I also ordered the 4. It was hard to lift my arms very high. The sleeves are constricting. It also came pretty wrinkled. Plan to have a steamer - the steamer worked quickly and easily. I wore it for an opera performance. With the lights and and ambiance, the dress was completely angelic. I did have to wear a slip so It wasn't see through. Also it was a lot shorter than I expected. I wore it barefoot so that it would touch the ground. I'm 5'4" and I definitely would have gotten the long if I wanted to wear heels. I feel like I didn't have any shoes that would have seemed right to show under the dress. Overall, I felt like a princess. 

I normally wear a size 4. 6L was my back up size - the dress was too small and a tight fit to zip. The zipper was very hard to pull up. 

My arms are a bit fleshier - lol, so I rented a 4&6 based on reviews because I was afraid my arms wouldn't make it in the 4.  Here's the gist:  my fleshy arms were fine in the 4, but the waist sat really weird (and my waist is small).  I'd pull it down and it'd ride up and make a puff bulge (hard to describe - but the boob tulle crosses weird right there) and it made me look kinda chubby.  The 6 sat better there but the boob area was super loose and sad looking.  (After 2 kids - my ladies are a bit shriveled up).  Oh - and it was much more yellow than gold - definitely know that - especially if you're blonde and fair. Much yellowier than I'd hoped.  I also got a backup second gown and was glad I did - because while yes - I wore this for the shoot - I only wore it for 1/2 of it and I'm glad because it wasn't quite all I'd hoped it be.  Thank goodness for RTR backups!  So there you have it.  I went with the 4 though because it fit best.  If your arms are a little bigger - they'll be okay.  The dress overall doesn't allow for a lot of full arm lifting though - so spinning dance moves aren't gonna happen a la Cinderella. :)  

This dress was beautiful, however, I am a 34H and the support even with a strapless bra was not enough.
