I ordered the size 2 and a few days before the event I got an email that it wasn't available. I wore the backup smaller size but it was pretty tight. I think the 2 would have fit better but I really wanted to wear the dress so I made it work. The feathers shed a bit and they also stuck out a little but it wasn't a big deal. I got tons of compliments on the feathers and it was a really fun dress to wear. 

I love this dress! It's so fun and different than anything I've ever seen before. Perfect for a Gatsby-themed party. The dress fits me at the waist and hips well but was so large up top, near the chest, underarms, and neck. I had to safety-pin the dress at the back of the neck so that It wouldn't look so large. It also sheds like crazy. I've found feathers on my carpet for months later. Overall I recommend but get multiple sizes to be sure

Overall I loved this dress! I'm a 6-8 and the 10 was actually a perfect fit. The feathers were fun but beware of static cling :) the dress was really comfortable and I felt really beautiful and classy! Another success with rent the runway! 

Everything fit perfectly! Everyone's reviews really helped with which size to get. I got so many compliments and loved every second in the dress 

Rented this for a company holiday party for my daughter, who is 5'6" and weighs 128, putting her between a 4 and a 6 in most dresses.  After reading many reviews recommending sizing up TWO sizes, we ordered a 6 with an 8 for backup--unfortunately, since we were renting late in the busy holiday season, no 8 was available.  (This explains the 4 stars instead of 5.)  The 6 was snug, but wearable--and the feathered skirt was exotic and fun; she received compliments all evening from men and women alike.  She did leave a small trail of feathers wherever she sat.  Best of all, her fiance LOVED it.  Excellent first experience from RTR!

Overall, I had a ton of fun in this dress! Tons of compliments, too. The top is very fitted, so size up if you are busty. 

Fit definitely runs small (I normally wear a 0, but I went up to 2 for this dress), as  the chest is quite tight. The feeathers are super fun and swinging, and people couldn't get enough of how fluffy the skirt is and moves. Because the feathers flare out right under the thick empire band, this defintely looks best on taller girls, as the skirt adds LOTS of volume to your midsection. I smoothed down the top feathers all night to keep my shape, but this won't be a problem for taller women.

Fit like a GLOVE!  Wore this for an impromptu anniversary trip to the Stanley hotel.  SO many compliments, especially from my fiancé before we left for dinner/ the séance we attended.  Definitely one of my favorite dresses I have ever rented.    

I wore this dress to an  Roaring 20's Gatsby themed 40th anniversary party. It was the perfect dress for the occasion.  I received so many compliments! I recommend going one size up. The skirt of the dress has no give / stretch and if you have curves it makes the fit of the dress more comfy. 

This dress SHEDS like you would not believe. It's also quite short and I could not zip it all the way (I'm also a tall girl with a booty so--). Wore it for my birthday dinner and felt like a movie star, although I had to adjust whenever I sat down or stood up. BUT - I felt and looked pretty and that matters the most. Was worried the dress wouldn't arrive on time but luckily it came! Very happy. 

This fit me like a glove! It was my first RTR experience and it was great! I have an athletic build with broad shoulders and bigger thighs but this fit me in every spot. I typically wear a 6/8 in dress sizes but got this in a 10 after reading the reviews that it ran a little small. It was definitely a hit at the event I attended!

The dress was perfect for a wedding reception at a trendy downtown hotel in NJ. I received a million compliments. The size two fit me perfectly. Im 5'4 122lbs, 34c bust. I was skeptical after reading the reviews about the slip shifting under the feathers or the bust being to tight, but it was like the dress was made for my body. I experienced no issues ! The feathers stood away from the dress just enough for dramatic effect, but without coming of costume like ! 

Perfect fit, i'm 5'9 and it was a little short on me but still worked great! 

This dress is SO MUCH FUN!!! The feathers are freaking beautiful, and as other reviewers pointed out, if you're comfortable getting lots of extra attention and leaving a trail of feathers wherever you go, this is the dress for you! There were some slight issues, in that because these feathers come off so easily, there were some small patches on the back and 1 on the front of missing feathers. It didn't look terrible at all, and I am chill so it didn't bother me, but it was definitely worn.  I danced my tush off all night long and this dress kept up! My only beef (reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5) is that it has absolutely no give around the rib cage. It is VERY tight in there and made it hard to breathe when i was sitting down at dinner. This dress DEFINITELY RUNS SMALL. I'm typically a 6 and the 10 fit and was tight in the rib cage so just be aware, SIZE UP FOR SURE. Also, you can't really tell from the pictures, but the top half of the dress is actually a black lace, not solid. Still beautiful, just worth pointing out. Otherwise this is a FANTASTIC dress and I loved wearing it! 

This dress was adorable . . . for the 10 minutes that I wore it around my house!  I rented it for my birthday, but I couldn't wear it because I literally could not sit down in it.  RTR was great and gave me a credit since it was too small, but I LOVED the dress.  I ordered the 6 because they no longer carry the 8, and I seriously considered eating my birthday dinner standing up, lol, but my husband convinced me to be reasonable.  If you normally wear a 6/8, I would caution against it, the skirt has no give.  But if you normally wear a 4/6, you should be good.

I really enjoyed wearing it to a wedding. I normally wear a size zero so I ordered a 2 and 4 when I read that it runs small. Thank goodness I got the 4! It fit tight! I liked dancing in it because the feathers flounced around. Someone told me I looked like a "rocker" which is exactly my style! 

I rented this dress for a sorority semi-formal and absolutely loved wearing it.  I got compliments all night, and everyone thought the feathers were awesome!  The lace and cut of the top was perfect, but the dress wasn't quite as flawless as some of my other RTR rentals have been.  I was slightly disappointed in the color, because the purple to grey ombre wasn't quite as vibrant as I was hoping the feathers would be.  The dress is short, and the lining of the skirt is tight so size up!  The zippers on my two sizes of this dress were different.  When I tried the six, I realized the flimsy zipper was broken so I wore the eight (needed it anyways) and found that the zipper was much more sturdy.  Also: be prepared to shed!  The feathers do come off and frequently stick out.  I kept a dryer sheet in my clutch to get rid of the static on occasion.  While the dress wasn't everything I imagined, I would rent again, and I still would have rented knowing all of that upfront.  Next time, I'll probably go up one more size just for some extra length, and in hopes that the skirt will flare a little more like it does on the model in the picture.  

This dress was only available in a 2 and 6, and after reading reviews that it ran small, I was a little concerned. I ordered both and the 2 fit my pear shape perfectly. The reviews mentioned a static issue with feathers. I sprayed them down with static spray and took a dryer sheet to be safe, but never had to use it. I received so many compliments and would definitely order this dress again! Note: I can typically zip anything up myself, but be sure you have another person to help keep the zipper out of the feathers.

Great dress! Top is black lace which isn't as evident in the photo.  Skirt was so much fun but definitely missing a few feathers.  Top was snug and I'm normally a 34B, so would definitely size up if a larger bust.  I would probably prefer a 4, but it was not available for that date, so I made the 2 work.

I wore this to my friend's rehearsal dinner and received so many compliments. The fit is great and I decided to add a blazer since it was in the winter. 

This is a great dress that will get you lots of compliments. My work was holding a 1920s themed fundraiser and this was the perfect dress for the occasion. I rented the necklace for RTR as well and it was the perfect touch for the theme. The dress did shed feathers everywhere and it was a bit hard to zip on my own but once I got it on it was fine. I usually wear a 2 or  4, so the dress does run a bit small. The 6 was a great fit. The only thing I did not like about the dress was that it was a bit itchy if I sat for more than a few minutes, so if you are going to a sit down dinner this is probably not a great choice. 

Beautiful, fun, special dress.  It does run small, I wore the size 2 for comfort, I am usually a size 0 at 5'2" and 105 lbs, no hips, small chest.  I could barely zip up the 0.  I could have worn it but it wouldn't have been as comfy.  The 2 was more comfortable so I went with it.  Because of the feathers all along the skirt, you don't need to suck in your stomach all night so it's a super comfy dress to wear.  Skirt is short, worked well for my petite height.  I highly recommend the dress, I received many compliments all night.  Oh, and the feathers are more purply with some pink, with hints of grey.  I couldn't tell from the photos online exactly what shade they were but I ordered a grey/purply headband and the feathers were a fantastic match. 

I ordered the 4 and the 6, and there's no way the 4 would have fit, as the 6 was tight EVERYWHERE. It still fit and was relatively comfortable, though. I would probably suggest sizing up- I am almost always a 2 or 4. The feathers were a huge hit. I wore this to an event at a contemporary museum and it was perfect. So many people stopped me to say how much they loved the dress. I would rent again! Dress was in great condition too, and no feathers were shedding. 

The dress fit true to size and had plenty of room if you run larger in the hips. I received so many compliments and felt amazing in it! Definitely stood out. The fabric was also extremely comfortable.

Such a fabulous little dress. SO many compliments (including from all the drag queens, who are notoriously hard judges on formal wear.) It was floaty, fun, and unique, photographed well and moved beautifully. Unlike some commenters, I don't think I lost more than one or two little feathers during the whole night of vigorous dancing. I was worried about the fit since others said it ran very, very small - I'm usually a 0 but have gained about 10 pounds recently. Ordered the 2 as well as the 0 just in case. The 2 was big in the waist, bust & ribcage area, while the 0 fit perfectly. Form-fitting on my legs but understandably so, as the dress would look totally ridiculous if the skirt was A-line.  Seems to be pretty true to size outside the j.crew/banana republic vanity sizing world. 

Super fun dress. The dress is longer than it seems in this picture just because I had to crawl into the back of a limo. It was about 4-5 inches above the knee (I'm only 5' tall!).  The feathers are soft and didn't shed. The top fit well and was flattering. I wore a regular bra with the straps clipped together in the back. I loved this dress!

Absolutely loved this dress.   Wore it for a Mardi Gras themed birthday party and it was a huge hit.  I rented the 4 and the 6 and ended up in the 6 as it runs a bit small.  No bra needed.   Be prepared to leave a trail of feathers wherever you go as it sheds some.  

I got so many compliments all night! It was unique and perfect for my husbands dental school GV Black. The fabric has no give to it so be sure to go a size up for your extra size.

The dress was extremely fun, fairly comfortable, and garnered tons of complements.  This was my first RTR dress, and I was very happy with it.  I usually wear a 4, but the 6 fit perfectly.  The dress definitely runs small.  

Loved this dress and you will to if you want to be petted all night long. The feathers are so soft to the touch, but do fall out easily. I got a ton of compliments and it went well with my Badgley Mischka shoes too. the zipper was a bit tough to get up but once I got it past the feathers it was a little easier. Now for the fit, I normally wear a size 2 and it was extremely tight around the chest. I ended up wearing the size 4 and it fit like a glove. I would definitely order this dress again in the future or highly recommend it. 

I have never gotten so many compliments on a dress other than at my own wedding. The feathers are so fun and truly make this a special piece. Ran a little small. 

I am normlly a 6, 34D but went with the 8 in this dress. The fabric does not give, but the 8 fit fine. I'm an athletic /pear build. This was fun and flattering . 



This dress is so cute - wore it for my 25th birthday brunch! The fit is true to the size. It is a very fun festive quirky dress - really loved it! My only negatives are that when you sit down it was quite short even though when I stood up it was just at my knees and when I received it - it still had deodorant stains under the armpit areas. I had to hand wash  by the armpits before wearing it. 

The 2 turned out to be a perfect fit for me. It's very well fitted in the bust and perfectly fitted around the waist. The only downside was wearing it in the winter - the feathers easily got caught in the zipper of my winter jacket and I was continuously worrying about damaging the bottom portion of the dress. 

Tight in the torso. I am petite with athletic upper body and it was tight in the torso. The feathers were not as full as the pictures online portray but it was still fun to wear. 

I usually wear a 4, sometimes a 6. Decided to go with the 6 on this one just for comfort and a warm forecast. It fit great, the feathers made it a ton of fun. It was also very comfortable and I received a ton of compliments. I'm so happy with my choice! 

If you're hippy or have a big butt I would size up because the dress has no give.  Also the slip underneath is rather short so I wore black hose to compensate for any ride ups.  Over all great dress!  


This was perfect for my boyfriend's brother's wedding. It was fun without being over the top, and it was comfortable to wear all night. The top fit perfectly. The skirt was a bit shorter than I prefer, but the feathers hung below the hem enough that it wasn't terrible. The skirt was also a little tight (no give because of how the feathers are attached), but the dress showed up with a rip in the lining, which actually might be the only reason it fit over my butt as easily as it did. Some feathers did fall off, but mostly just while putting on/taking off the dress, and maybe one or two more while adjusting the skirt during the reception. I definitely recommend this one if you're looking for something a little different. 

I am completely in love with this dress.  As soon as I saw it on the site, I immediately stopped looking and reserved it. I rented this dress for a holiday charity event, where everyone really steps up their fashion game.  I received compliments from literally everyone I talked to, and I felt amazing all night. I usually wear a 2, but the fabric of the top has no give at all, so luckily I had rented the 4 as a backup (definitely go one size up as your backup just in case- the fabric will not stretch at all!) and it fit perfectly. I was comfortable, and had no problems with the skirt being too tight at all. Watch any zippers around the feathers, that's the only thing I found may snag or tear them off! (Ps, I had to wear black tights because it was freezing that night, but the dress looked better without them!)
