Felt sexy and edgy in the dress without being over the top. Definitely considered keeping it!

Slim tight fit, difficult to dance in, but looked beautiful. Great first experience renting from RTR. 

Wore this to a rehearsal dinner. Was very cute but definitely tight. 

Very flattering, perfect amount of sexy and classy. I rented it for a formal work event and wasn't disappointed! It does run small though, 9/10 I always wear a 0, but ended up wearing a 4 which was a lot more comfortable. I could have probably fit in the 2, but glad it wasn't available. 

I loved this dress. Thick material, comfortable, the back strap is adjustable ( I had it on the tightest setting).  The lace wasn't that noticeable, I wish it were more prominent.  The high neck combined with the lace and open back made it sexy but appropriate.  The back slit was adjustable with a zipper which was a nice feature.  Overall, I loved the fit and style and I received a few compliments. 

What a gorgeous dress. The back strap was somewhat awkward and my back is broad. Would drape a lot for someone with a narrow back. However , the overall look is AMAZING. very sophisticated, very comfortable. 

It was very form fitting. I have such a tiny waist the strap on the back was way too loose, but easily pinned. I loved that the front was thick so able to not wear a bra. The length was perfect because I’m almost 5’11 barefoot. Love love love!

I loved the dress. I have recently lost weight so I wasn't sure what size I would fit into, but the 10 seemed to work. I have a shorter torso so the lace detail at the waist didn't show as much. However, I still had a blast wearing this dress!

Dress was tight on my shoulders but didn't look like I was poured into it. I got so many compliments on this look! 

This dress was amazing! The cut out back added just a bit of fun! The strap in the back was a little loose so I just wrapped it around the front as some others have mentioned. The dress doesn't have too much give to it but I was still able to move around and dance no problem! I would definitely consider renting this again!

This was my backup dress but ended up wearing it to my event. Had a bit of a time trying to find cups to go with it but got a great backless sticky cup bra that worked well. It was tight but I could move and the skirt zips up to make a slit in the back which was helpful. The only thing that was strange was the back strap that hooks to the side of the dress made a strange bend in the dress but I don't think it was too noticeable. I would definitely rent this one again.

I actually wore this dress for a work dinner. It was comfortable to walk around in and sit for extended periods of time. The design of the dress is appropriately designed to wear to a work function without being overly revealing

Nice thick fabric to hide imperfections, so flattering! 

The dress is fun to wear. The back strap is annoying as stated in other reviews. By the end of the night, I felt it fit snug bc of the food and alcohol I enjoyed throughout the night. 

Dress was beautiful and fit me like a glove, but unfortunately was unwearable. The back strap was so loose and wrinkled, I couldn't wear the dress. Both the 6 and 8 were in that condition. And as you can see in the picture, one of the clasps were missing. I thought I could remove the back strap because according to the dress details, the back strap is removable. It isn't. So I was left with a dress I couldn't wear and was extremely disappointed. I'm really puzzled as to how they thought a dress like that could be sent to a customer. 

This dress was absolutely amazing. I got compliments on it all night! It was classy while still being fun and flirty with the open back and lace cut outs, which weren't too revealing, but added a lot to the otherwise plain front. I ordered a size up (8) when I can usually get a 6, and it fit just right since there really isn't any give to the fabric, and I have a pretty wide rib cage and shoulders. I wore it with a black strapless bra which blended into the strap across the back and ended up working just fine, but I would recommend a backless bra, if you have a comfortable one.  The only thing to note was it was definitely long on me; I'm 5'5'' and it came down well past the knee. Until I discovered the zipper slit in the back of the skirt, it was a little constricting at the knee, so definitely look for that zipper! The fabric was fairly heavy, so it was perfect for this late-fall wedding, but would definitely be hot in the summer. 

This is the second time I've rented this dress! Wore it to a cocktail attire wedding in D.C. The length is to the knee and keeps it classy, but the lace and open back add a touch of sexiness. Received a ton of compliments. Material is thicker. Has a zipper on the skirt to make it tighter or looser. Definitely runs small, I usually am a 2/4 and wore a size 6. 

I am usually a size 8 but after reading a bunch of reviews I decided to go with the 10. Fit perfect. 

This dress was super flattering! I did have to size up, for reference I have recently worn size 2 in Nicole Miller, Halston Heritage, Slate & Willow and they all fit perfectly. Had to size up only due to the bust and butt. I think if you were smaller in those areas you would be fine with the 2. Overall loved this dress - just wish for these longer length dresses they had petite lengths as it was longer than I would have liked! 

First of all, this dress runs small. I usually wear a 0 or 2 based on the brand and as long as the material has some stretch, my larger chest fits. The 2 of this dress was way too tight on the top because there is no give in the material. It's a very durable dress, but it doesn't stretch at all, including the skirt part because I had to hike it up to go to the bathroom. Otherwise, the 4 fit perfectly and I got so many compliments! I wore the sticky cups to have a little more support, but it would also be okay without. I especially like that the back strap has two options for how tight you can make it. I went for the tighter one, but if you're worried about back fat the looser one is a great backup. 

SO SO many compliments. I got "sexy" "gorgeous" and "beautiful"! My hubs offered to pay the $600 to purchase this dress he loved it so much. His hand were literally all over my butt at a fundraiser dinner his work purchased tickets for. I wore pasties. No bra needed. I'm 34b. 135lbs. @ 5'3" it was a tad long. You won't regret this rental!!! The zipper slit in back was surprisingly nice. The 6 I wore had a different back strap material than the 4. 

This dress was perfect for the Gala Opening of a community theater - classy with a splash of sexy.  Definitely size up.  I'm usually a 6-8; because I couldn't get an 8, I got the 10 which worked well. 

I decided to hide the strap across the back to have a totally open look.  

I received compliments throughout the evening.

I'm 3.5 months postpartum so the dress was a little tight in the tummy area and made my larger chest a little squished. However, the back and lace were super sexy but classy enough for an evening NYC wedding. Of note: the material is a little heavy and wrinkled easily, but the dress didn't feel hot. Loved this dress!

It was tight in the hips for me and I wear a size 4/6 in pants. True to size up top.  Love the lace detail. I had a shipping issue(my fault) and RTR was so very helpful. I can't say how much I'm enjoying RTR enough!

I wore this dress to a wedding. I am between a 2 and 4. I could barely zip up the 4, so size up. With that said it held in my stomach but made it hard to dance. 

I had such  fun time in this dress! I ordered the 6 and the 8. I am 5' 7'', 140lbs, with a 36D bust. I liked the 6 but it was a bit snug and the back strap created back fat rolls which I did not like. I ended up wearing the 8 and it was lovely. the back strap hung loosely which i thought added a nice touch to the look. I wore it all night and was completely comfortable, it was a warm LA evening and I did not need a jacket, nor did I feel too hot. I definitely would rent this again!

I wore this to a semi formal wedding. It was a comfortable fit without using the back strap (just hooked it up front and hid it). The back strap was way too tight. I recommend this dress for indoor, cooler weather events. Although it was mostly comfortable, I was way too warm with the thick material during the outdoor ceremony and dancing all night. 

It was a form fitting especially through the hips... but that is coming from someone who just had a baby 6 weeks ago so maybe it's just me and postpartum hips.  The fabric has very little give. I was hoping to wear a low back bra but it didn't cut low enough. 

Got lots of compliments and felt like a Hollywood starlet.  The dress was sexy while still looking super classy.  It was perfect for the charity poker tournament that I attended.  This dress was super flattering and curve-hugging.

This dress was beautiful and looked great when I put it on. I could have easily gone bra-less but did chicken cutlets just as a precaution. Only reason it doesn't get 5 stars is because holy cow using the bathroom was a cluster with this dress. It is very fitted/basically a pencil skirt so extreme details aside, using the bathroom by myself was a no go and I had to have a friend help me pull the dress back down amidst the lining getting extremely caught and my hips apparently being large and in charge, etc. I've always LOVED all my RTR dresses and this is the first one that I liked but wasn't super crazy about. It's a very pretty and subtly sexy piece, but leaves for a not so subtle or sexy potty break experience! 

It is difficult to put on by yourself. I needed help securing the back, so keep that in mind if you plan to wear it to an event and use the back strap. I am usually a true 6, but the hips were a bit tight, so I went up to the 8 and it fit PERFECT! There are small details like the back and the lace cut outs that make this dress more than a typical black dress. It was perfect!!

I really liked the look and fit overall. It was classy and pretty comfortable, flattering and chic. The main problem, I felt, were the three separate methods of fastening (zipper on body, strap across back with hook&eye closure, and a button at the back of the neck), and the fact that the strap across the back, which I assume was meant to cover a bra, was far too loose. I got a 10 and an 8: the 8 was definitely too small, but while the 10 fit everywhere else, the back strap was too loose to cover anything. Also, the hooks and eyes for the strap on both dresses were messed up or missing. So I went braless, which was totally fine because the fabric is thick and nicely fitted, but just be aware. I was generally very pleased.

Thick fabric that was very flattering. Elegant!
