This was my backup dress. It was comfortable and a little shorter so I wore it instead. I especially liked how the flare at the bottom moved when I walked. Since I'm petite and not used to wearing very high heels, I was glad this was not so long that I would have trouble walking. I would definitely recommend this dress. I had trouble loading photos for review so they may not appear correctly. 

This dress was perfect! I wish I had gotten more photos in it. It is a heavy fabric which made it look, feel, and wear beautiful! It was warm enough to wear to an indoor event in the winter. I would highly recommend this, I wish I could wear it again! 

This was a backup dress for a wedding. I wasn't impressed at all. The only redeeming quality this dress had going for it was the pretty back. It did absolutely nothing for my figure. Beware, this dress is incredibly short! I'm 5'5 and not wearing shoes in the photo and the dress barely skimmed my feet. I'm glad this was my backup and I had other options. Didn't wear.

True to fit. I didn't have to make any adjustments.

This dress was perfect for the wedding I went too! It clung where I wanted to , and was lose  where I needed it. It was perfect for me as I have a large chest for my body size. I can't say enough good things about this dress! 


The dress was a little long but with 3 inch heels it worked. Definitely would recommend!

I ordered the 6 and the 8L. I was surprised that the 8L you could still see my feet with a small 2 inch heel as I am only 5'6. I usually wear a size 6, but the 6 was tight around my waist. The 8 felt more comfortable but was loose in the back where it zippered. Also, the train in the back was a lot longer than I expected. Overall, this dress was absolutely perfect for the black tie wedding that I attended. I received so many compliments. The back of it is stunning and very classy.

I got the 14R (the L wasnt available for my event).  At 5'7" it was too short with no shoes.  The back is luckily longer and hit the floor.  I just wore Jack Rogers wedges and called it a day.  Would have loved the long.  The dress was also a bit snug in the belly area but the color made it not that noticeable.  Pretty dress that I got a lot of compliments on!

I wanted a long, more formal dress for a black tie optional wedding. And I wanted a navy blue dress to go with my blue Badgley Mishka shoes I wore to my wedding. I rented the 12R and 12P because I'm usually in between lengths at 5'4 3/4". I was disappointed in the 12R when I took it out of the bag. It had a tear in one of the seams under the arm pit. And some of the clasps were messed up and not going on right. So I tried on the 12P and there were no issues and fit just right. It was maybe 1" too short, but it just showed off my fabulous shoes more. I wore a backless bra and a pair of lower waisted spanx shorts to smooth out the post baby mom pooch and good to go! The material is comfortable, jersey fit, but thick. I don't recommend for a summer wedding, especially outdoors. Pair it with some sparkly jewelry and it's a win! I just hope RTR repairs the 12R or takes it out of circulation. 

I LOVED this dress so much. I wore it to a charity black tie event and honestly felt so beautiful. I received so many compliments. They didn't have an 8R available and I'm only 5'4 so I didn't think the petite was going to be short but it was. I made it work with nude pink heels and a statement necklace to match. The front is pretty plain so you definitely need a big necklace or something.  I was obsessed with the back, soooo elegant! I would definitely rent this again but in the regular length! 

This dress fit true to size. I was in a wedding where the color was Navy, and this dress worked perfectly. I am a little taller than average (5'6") and the regular length worked perfectly with a little 2" heel. 

It's very true to size. I really liked the open back. I am 5'3" and the length was perfect with a pair of 3-inch heels. I got a lot of compliments on this dress. Only negative was it's a bit clingy in the stomach, so I felt myself sucking in during photos and wore Spanx for added coverage. All in all, it did the trick!

This dress was recommended by a Rent the Runway stylist after I revealed my insecurities and said what I did not want in a dress. She nailed it! The dress covered my whole front, but revealed just enough skin in the back to make me feel sexy (and for my hubby to touch)! The petite length trailed the floor, which actually made me feel more like a princess. Nothing was tight, and I loved being able to wear normal underwear. I didn't need a bra, which was another plus (I am a c cup). All in all, I loved this dress!!

Loved it- ended up going with my back up size. Perfect for black tie wedding. 38C bust and didn't need to wear a bra! Length was perfect- wore a ~2-3 inch heel with the dress. 

Only con is the top of the zipper right around the lower back is a little heavy and didn't stay up straight. Can't tell in photos that it was tipping over. 

Before I decided to rent it, I tried it on a Neiman's to make sure it was a good fit- which it was. I'm usually a 4-6 in dresses and that's what I was for this dress too. Now since this dress is form fitting (but overall, flattering) I did decide to wear Spanx. Also, because it is a backless dress and form fitting, I was able to just safety pin my bra to my dress. So I didn't have to worry about buying a backless bra. 
Overall, I felt classy and confident in this dress. I would 100% recommend it!

I wore the 6R to the wedding and it fit like a glove. I got so many compliments! The dress was a perfect fit, the fabric was thick and heavy, and the high neckline was to die for. A great pick for anyone looking for a jaw dropping option. I would rent this dress again, I truly enjoyed wearing it. 

Very elegant dress and I received compliments all night. It's comfortable and easy to wear. A little long - there's a bit of a train that I had to be careful not to step on. It also sags a little in the lower back where it zips up. I think I was probably the only one to notice that but probably wouldn't recommend this dress for that reason

Great dress, perfect for prom. Dress fit true to size and was very comfortable for dancing all night!!

I am 5'4" 129lbs. The dress had a nice stretch which helped with the bust area. The back is beautiful and very flattering but the front is pretty plain and wasn't the most flattering for pictures. I rented the petite 4 and 6 because the 4 regular was rented and I went with the 4 so the dress was a little short with heels but otherwise fit well. 

This was my first Rent the Runway dress, and I could not have been more pleased. I am 5,2 so went with a petite size which worked with 3 1/2" heels. After reading some of the other reviews I was worried the length would be a problem as most girls commented the dress ran short. The 4R was unavailable to rent as a 2nd option, but for someone my height the 4P hit the floor perfectly. Though I loved the open back style, it did not hug my figure as well as it did the front, but it was not too noticeable. The dress definitely was heavy, but nothing unbearable. For my occasion it worked since the majority of the evening was spent sitting. I would definitely recommend this dress for someone looking for a simplistic color & style. The high neckline was also a nice touch to the dress, and I paired it with a fun necklace.
