Black Jeanette Dress

I rented this for a bachelorette party. I think the pattern on the dress could be dressed up or down depending on your jewelry. This angle of the picture isn't the most flattering but from the front I thought it was very figure flattering. The 4 and 6 fit but my friends said the 4 looked better slightly tighter. The 6 the slip was hanging below so the 4 looked better as well. I danced all night and didn't have an issue with the length.

I actually wore this dress for part of a Halloween costume one year- it was fantastic! Tons of compliments, very flattering.

I wore this to a rehearsal dinner for a friend. I wasn't in the wedding party so didn't want to be flashy. It has a flattering neck line but is a little boxy in the midsection. You can't tell in the picture but it has a subtle eyelet overlay fabric with some sheer areas on the cap sleeves. The subtle details elevated the dress and it was perfect for the event!

I rented this dress in a 4 and 6 for a date night with my fiancé. It was perfect!! I ended up wearing the 4 because it was more form fitting and not as boxy as the 6. They were both short but I'm only 5'2 so it worked great. I wanted to keep it simple so I paired it with a small gold necklace and nude scrappy sandals. I actually ended up wearing it the next night to for a bachelorette party too... I got more than 10 compliments and didn't hesitate telling people where I got it!!

The dress was perfect for my birthday night in New York. I knew we were going to be walking a lot and it was going to be hot, so I wanted something I could wear sparkly flip-flops with and still look cute. This dress was perfect! I uploaded a couple pictures. You can see it runs a bit big in the one picture, so I belted the dress with a white belt and it looked so cute! Highly recommend this dress!

I wore this for my bachelorette party. It was an unexpected surprise, as the original dress I ordered was damaged. This was sent in its place. What a blessing in disguise. So gorgeous. Simple. Classic. I should have ordered this to begin with.

I wanted to wear the 10, however it was a tad tight and we were going out for my birthday! Had I dropped a pound before I wore it I would have worn the 10. This was my favorite dress so far!

This dress was great! The fit is pretty true to size, but is very short, which made it difficult to transition from sitting to standing. The lining was slightly longer than the lace overlay, but it was easy enough to fix with some fashion tape. It was really easy to wear and to accessorize -- it can be dressed up or down and will look great either way.

I wore this dress to a company Christmas party with red suede heels, a red bib necklace and opaque tights. It has a great slim fit and classic shape that can be easily dressed up or down. I would advise that the dress was a little shorter than expected, but would definitely recommend it for a casual holiday party!

I wore this dress to a wedding and got several compliments. My sis-in-law loved it so much she wants to try RTR too! Very comfortable to wear, and fit perfectly.

This was a fantastic dress. It was very comfortable and light weight. I loved the material - the detail is what made this dress stand apart from just your average LBD. It was also easy to pair with jewelry (I also rented a Kate Spade Pink Hot Chip statement necklace). Over all, the fit was spot on! I'd definitely rent this dress again.

This dress runs large, I am a 4-6 and went with the 4 which was even a little loose in spots. I wanted an easy LBD for my friend's rehearsal dinner, and this was perfect. The lace details add some interest. It was short which is perfect for me since I am short, but be careful if you are taller than 5'3".

This dress was absolutely perfect for a college graduation dinner party I attended. I received so many compliments on it! I loved the black lace overlay on the dress as it made it for a classy look. Adding my own "pink bubble necklace" really added a nice touch. The dress itself ran pretty true to size; however, it was a little shorter than I expected it to be. I am in love with all Lily Pulitzer dresses and i will definitely be renting this designer again!

I thought because the dress was short on the model that it would be longer for me since I am petite, but it wasn't. That's alright though, I just wore some black tights with it and it looked great! The jewelry that was sent with it was perfect and made the outfit! There was some difficulty getting the right size in the dress i first picked out, but the customer representatives were very nice and suggested this dress instead and promptly refunded the difference. I was well taken care of. I will definitely rent again.

I wore it to a trunk show I hosted at my sorority house for RTR and then out for dinner with friends. It was great.

I wore this dress for Thanksgiving dinner and absolutely loved it! Both cute and classy, Lily Pulitzer's design proved to be quite the crowd pleaser. In fact, my grandma wanted to know where she could get one in her size! Pros: Classic, flattering, cute lace sleeve detail, family appropriate without being frumpy, great fit Cons: Cap sleeves may not flatter everyone

I got this dress for me and my boyfriend's combined birthday dinner/party. This dress was SO flattering. It was slimming in all the right places and I felt comfortable and sexy in it the entire night! Note, I think what really added to it was the kate spade emerald green earrings I rented also!!

This was the perfect LBD! The fit was great and I absolutely loved the lace and back zipper details. Definitely would recommend!

I actually liked this dress so much, I ended up buying it when I found it on sale on Amazon.com! The dip in the back is really sexy, but still allows you to wear a normal bra (hallelujah!!). It also works well for a range of events, from a shower to a date to a night on the town, though it is probably too casual for cocktail or semi-formal. The dress was very figure-flattering on my slim/hourglass frame, and would work well on a range of body types, though it might end up a little tent-like on someone with a full chest. I usually wear a 0-4, depending on how fitted a dress is through the hips. This is quite fitted through the hips, but runs a little big, so I wore my usual size 2, those with narrower hips may want to size down. Also, it was a bit long on me, just a few inches above my knees, and definitely not mid-thigh as on the model. I am planning to have the dress I own hemmed.

I wore this dress to a college reunion. The cut is more flattering than I expected. The lace detail, particularly on the cap sleeves, adds interest beyond a boring LBD. And the low back and short length take the dress from casual into party/evening wear. I received lots of compliments.

This dress is true to size. It is not as short as it appears on the model. The zipper in the back adds nice detail.

I rented this dress for an engagement party that I was hosting and absolutely loved it. So adorable and received so many compliments. Really considered buying it after renting it. The dress does run big. I actually ordered sizes 10 and 12 and they were too loose. The RTR team was great and shipped out another dress the night I received the ill fitting dresses and received the size 8 the next day! So helpful. Totally recommend this dress.

I rented this dress for my wedding rehearsal dinner - and it was a stunner! I rented the 6 and the 4 but ended up wearing the 4. It is definitely a bit short, but not inappropriately so. My (now) husband loved it so much he wanted to buy it for me. I felt so sexy - and I only wore it with black flip flops! I can't imagine how hot this would look with heels and a great clutch. LOVED It!

Absolutely loved this dress and got so many compliments on it. I wore it to an afternoon bridal shower, but it definitely was nice enough that I could have worn it to a wedding. I usually wear between a 10 and a 12, but I was happy to see that the 10 fit. Update: I ordered this dress again to wear to either a wedding the night before New Year's Eve or to a New Year's Eve party...and I loved it so much I ended up wearing it to both!

I loved this dress! It was beautiful and understated; I punched it up with gold open-toed heels. I usually wear between a 0 and 2, but chose the size 0 because it hugged my body better. I would definitely reccomend this dress!

When I got called to interpret for the President, my first stop was to Rent the Runway. I needed a dress that would be conservative and appropriate, yet also allow me to feel beautiful and comfortable while standing next to the leader of the free world on a stage before hundreds of people. This dress delivered in every way! It felt true to fit and was very comfortable. I usually wear a 6 or an 8 in dresses; wore the 8 because while both zipped, the 6 was too snug in the hips.The dress was slightly shorter than expected considering I'm only 5'3", but still much longer than it appears on the model. It's rare I find a dress that's figure-flattering without alterations, so I highly recommend this one!

I'm 5'10 and this dress was my pick for NYE out for dinner and dancing. The dress was short, but not inappropriate for a night out. I am pretty busty (34DD) and the 6 was slightly loose. This dress would be perfect for hiding tummy trouble zones, but if you are thinner, don't expect the dress to be fitted around your middle. Pretty lace but does not really stand out in a see a black dresses.

Super cute, simple black dress. The lace was really pretty in person, and the zipper added a nice touch to the back. It was a tad bit short (especially while dancing), but not too revealing. This dress definitely runs big, I'd rent a size smaller for your back up size. Great dress!

This is a fabulous dress. It is comfortable, forgiving, and most of all gorgeous. I have to warn you though the exposed back zipper is a yellow gold color (something I couldnt tell from the photos and was disappointed about because I do not wear yellow gold). That aside, I still loved the look, and hey, I dont have to look at my own back =). Additionally, I just lost a few pounds, so fitting into the size 6 at 5'7" and 147 lbs was quite exciting. If you check out the photo I uploaded (and cropped my sister out of), you can see it is not quite as short on me as it is on the model, so that was comforting. I very much enjoyed this delicate-looking dress and would recommend it to anyone. I usually wear an 8, so since the 6 fit, you may want to get a backup in a smaller size versus a larger one as I tend to do.

It was a little uncomfortable because it was very tight in the shoulders and was more loose in the back. But nonetheless I recueved so many compliments! It's a great dress to add a beautiful, statement necklace and fun shoes!

Wore this for NYE and felt great in it! Love the detail on the sleeves and the lace overlay. Runs true to size although slightly snug on my bigger hips/booty. Definitely on the shorter side too so perfect for a fun night out.
