I rented this for my husband's 30th birthday. We were doing a nice dinner, then a house party, then going out dancing, so I needed a versatile dress. This dress worked perfectly! It's a bit more of a purplish/dark lavender color than the grey-ish color on my screen, but I liked it better that way. I wore a low-cut/plunge bra but taped it a little so it wouldn't show in the front, but no problems in the back. The shoulders did slide a little but it wasn't a big deal (could've taped them too but didn't bother). Got plenty of compliments and felt super comfortable all evening, even with the fairly short skirt.

The dress is lovely at first glance. The panels were more obvious in person than they are in the pictures online; I wasn't a huge fan of that. The bigger problem, however, was that I'd previously gotten a different Bibhu in a size 2, and that was a touch too small (I should've gotten the size up, but it wasn't available) so this time I went with a size 4. It was too loose at the bust, waist, and hips (I like flowy, not frumpy loose). I'm normally a 2, so I would've gotten a 2 if I hadn't previously worn that other Bibhu dress. The lining was also a bit shredded towards the bottom of the zipper, so it's possible that someone tried to squeeze into this one and stretched it out some.

I tried both the XS and the S. I'm usually a size 2 (up to size 6/36 in European sizing), sometimes a size 4 due to my shoulders/hips. The XS was way too tight; it zipped up but not without some struggle. (I know it's bodycon so it's supposed to be tight, but there's not much I can do about the size of my ribcage..) The S was too large and the shoulders stuck out (and I have broad shoulders!) so much that it looked like I had shoulder pads in. The dress is also very low cut in both front and back, so be prepared to go sans bra, or use some creative taping. I ended up wearing a different Herve for the evening.
They're sparkly, substantial, and provided just the right amount of bling. My dress was already all-sequins, so I didn't want something to compete with that, but I also wasn't wearing any other jewelry other than my ring.
I rented this as a back-up for a wedding but didn't end up wearing it. They only had a size 4 available, which ended up being too big (so I would say it probably runs true to size). I really liked the material, though, and I might try this dress again in the future (although with a size 2!) for another formal-ish event.
I rented this as a back-up for a wedding but didn't end up wearing it. The dress definitely ran large and the bust area especially was unflattering. I don't think the seaming details showed up as well in person so the dress looked rather plain. I really liked the pockets, though! I think for a less formal event this dress would've been fine, but you'll want some fun accessories to jazz it up.
I really liked the vivid color and different style of the dress. The material is a little on the heavy side and a bit rougher than I expected, but it was fine for a Labor Day weekend evening wedding. I was a little worried it'd be too small since I didn't have it in a backup size, but the 2 fit fine. It was a little snug at the hips and a little loose up top, but really nothing too off. I wore nude platform pumps since the dress went a little longer on me (short legs) but still hit right around my knees. I don't have any great full-length photos but I uploaded some so you could see how the dress draped.

At a wedding where I knew only the bridge and groom (and my boyfriend, who was in the wedding party), I received so many compliments from the other guests about how gorgeous the dress was. It was a little big up top (I'm not very busty) so the shoulders felt a little loose, and the length was longer than I would've liked (going past my knees) but it was very comfy all day long. The length might be fine for others, I just have a long torso and really short legs (I'm more like 5'2.75" with a 29-30" jeans inseam). Did I mention all the compliments?? I just wish I had a real photo! (The one I've uploaded was where I was trying to decide which shoes to wear, so it's not a great shot, but you can see how long the dress was on me.) And maybe some RTR referral cards to hand out!

I really liked the color of the dress -- it was definitely bright and cheery but not ridiculously so. This dress seemed to run a little small up top -- I have somewhat broad shoulders, so the 2 that otherwise fit just felt too tight up top. The 4 fit better but it was also longer. My biggest nit with this dress is that the slip underneath is really low-cut, so probably any bra you wear will show through the lace over the chest. I tried it with a nude bra but it still made me really uncomfortable.
